OMERS Reviewer Appointed

On May 15, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Kathleen Wynne, announced on her Ministry's website tha Mr. Tony Dean was appointed as the Reviewer of the OMERS Act 2006, as per the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Review Act, 2006.

Specified Plan Change Proposals - 2nd Tabling

Following the SC Board meeting of April 26, a total of eleven specified plan change proposals (SPCs) have been tabled for consideration.� Final decisions take place at scheduled meetings in May and June.

OMERS Pensions to Increase by 2.84% for 2012

OMERS announced that pensions will increase by 2.84% as of January 1, 2012. This increase reflects the change in the cost of living as reported by Statistics Canada in the Canadian Consumer Price Index (CPI).
